Suspected Apple Smugglers...

By the time we got to Phoenix last night the BA free bar had been tested before patience was severely tested at the Department of Homeland Paranoia queue to get into the US. I got turned over by a sniffer dog, suspected of carrying illegal fruitstuffs (yes really, we are talking apples here). Once they realised Rover had been a bit over zealous we kept queuing and finally got through - although I was then asked about how much money I was bringing in ("loads madam...")

After another queue for the Department of Homeland Hire Cars we were clear to go, involving a nightmare drive across Phoenix - which is as sprawly as LA - in a car that I didn't really know how to drive. We had no map and the satnav wasn't working for a while. It was only when we eventually found the hotel that I found the button to retract the car roof, but hey soon it's time to hit the road for Sedona's 'new red sand'. Sedona is a hippy town where all 7 chakras of the world meet, apparently...

Also had a dream about Barack Obama having to wear a theatrical stage mask so he could still go out to the shops unrecognised. Wassatallaboutthen?
